It's simple and was a quicky. I just wanted to see if I could get it done. You will find a few interesting observations.

Test it out a few times, tell me what you think needs to be done if anything. No ones seen a new track in sometime so I really wanted to give this a go. The track is playable.

I have a slow computer, very slow and the others I use are even slower. I haven't fixed the good one that went up in smoke in January.

On a slow computer, 16 Cars is as good as it gets. Otherwise the game is way to choppy.

I made slots for 24 cars and sent the game out with the full grid.

Let me know what you think.

And if its good enough to host, or when its good enough to host. ABSOLUTELY.

my computer runs poorly when I play on the figure 8 nationals track with 30 cars. there isnt that much difference in 24 cars.
This track definately should be hosted somewhere. Its easier than sending it through email to everyone who wants it.

If you are comfortable with it as it is.
Then that is good enough for me.

Go ahead and put er up.

More tracks will be coming.

I tested this track out after you sent it to me and I have to say that its a lot of fun. Every game track is wide open with few cars, this track is the exact opposite: very cramped with as many cars as the game will allow. You have to plan your hits out so you are not pinned in one spot, open to everyone's shots.

This track reminds me of the game traffic jam, or a slider puzzle, lol.

nice work max!

Thanks.

What I like about it is you can lower the number of cars as well. This gives a little more room to move. Regardless people can choose what they like. From LOTS of cars to Few cars.

I just attempted to make this a multi player game with Cheater 22x as my beta testor.

It didn't work out so well and I am not certain where I have gone wrong.

I renamed the Events folder to match the other Multi Player files with the only difference being the l20 designation.

I renamed the short code to (M) at the end for Multi player like the rest of them. I changed the league etc.

It boots up on the Multi Player menu for both of us.
Cheater had the beta update installed.

However, when we went to play ....

I saw Zanesville and Cheaters Car was below the surface and I could drive on his roof.

Cheater said the AI cars and mine were floating above his.

I don't know what track he saw.

I am going to set up a LAN and test the
Pro National Figure 8 tracks. If these work, I will be really frustrated because I based my theory on these files. LOL.

Its back to the drawing board for now.

I think Small Pinewood would make a great Multi Player track because it is so small.

I am addressing some comments on the SmallPinewood track.

I have just worked on a simple change that puts a wall around the Logs and allows for just a few cars to go over.

It has created a situation of a major traffic jam. It can take over 35 minutes to eliminate 23 cars. It may feel boring until some damage can get inflicted. You can't get anyspeed or big hits.

I reduced the number to 16 and it worked better

and then 8 cars and it is alot of fun.

Definitely a good online track.... if I could get it to work.

Anyways, this testing will be put to good use for my Killarney Small that I am plugging away at.

For those who would like LESS cars on the track you can open the event.des file found inside your

l20full

and

l20comp

folders.

In order to change the number of cars, doubleclic on the file name bolded above and use NOTEPAD to load it.

You will see this

Quote:
Name="SMALL Pinewood Demolition Derby"
ID="SPWDF"
Type=1
Track="SMALL Pinewood"
Cars=30
League=4
NumberOfCars=24
Fanfare="Fanfare3"
EndingMusic="Ending1"

Simple change the

NUMBEROFCARS=24

to the number of cars you would like such as

NumberofCars=8
